Surreal moment in coverage of GOP National Convention in San Diego this 
week:  A lottery given to determine which groups won the right to protest 
in a distant parking lot near the GOP party gathering.  Seems that the 
city for security reasons is specifically setting up designated places 
for protest and one must be an authorized protestor (I can see the 
business cards now) to be allowed to congregate in those fenced off 
areas.  Truth better than fiction...I don't envy fiction writers today.
