I'll see your strawman and raise you an ad hominem.

It sounds here as if you're blasting Paglia because of her personal
behavior, not strictly on the merits (or lack of) her arguments.

Heidegger was probably pretty much an asshole also, but though many have
tried, I don't they've succeeded in discounting his works.

And no, I'm not elevating Paglia to the status of Heidegger.  Just making
a point.
