Tchitcherine/Slothrop/Crutchfield

Good ole Vaslav does have an affinity for Tyrone in the sense that he 
sees part of himself in T.S. (steel and flesh).  But after noting Thomas 
Moore's ideas in his book Style Of Connectedness, about the similarities 
(mirror-images? )b/w Crutchfield the Westward man seeking to tame the 
west and Tchitcherine the Eastward man seeking to tame the eastern zones 
of soviet russia (also both have sidekicks), I figure   if Crutchfield is 
a creation Slothrop or somehow a symbol of an alternate-universe-Slothrop 
incorporating his fantasies and fears(any ideas on the Red Bull--some 
kinda Tchchiterine type fear?), then there is another subtle connection 
going on b/w V. and T. isn't there? Anything else going on b/w these two 
I'm not aware of?
