It has been asked

Even I, stuck here in the remote Southern part of Africa, have 
read some of Steely's journalism (I had no idea until recently that 
they were the work of the one I know only by his nom-de-net), and 
think he's a good journo. Though I often do not agree with him, I also
respect his right to hold his opinions on the relative merits of 
various TRP novels, and unlike many Steely is (usually) prepared to justify 
what he says in this forum. In short, foax, let's get past the ad 
hominem/ad feminem attacks and concentrate on holding rational debate 
here...
