I would recommend 12 Monkeys to everybody on this list-there are many 
parallels I think with Pynchon-Bruce Willis character has a Slothropian 
melancholy, his psychiatrist played by Madeline Stowe has a fine Ms. Maas 
complex and their are interesting parallels regarding 'them' (Tristero=12 
Monkeys?) which appear here and in Brazil.  I don't want to give anything 
away but if anyone has seen it have you had similar thoughts?
