Lurkers, Awake!

I've noticed, over the last few weeks, several posts by people who describe
themselves as lurking in the background, & seem overly apologetic & tentative
about intruding into various discussions.  I don't know about anyone else,
but I'd like to hear from more than the usual rag-tag bunch of misfits.
Come on, shy little people;  let's hear your opinions.  WHY does everybody
think CL49 is the best of the four novels?  What's the connection between
TRP and Rushdie?  Is Pynchon to literature what Hunter Thompson is to
journalism (or am I just being PARANOID?)?
And don't be afraid to look foolish -- I do it every time I log in,
and it hasn't killed me yet (just ask Andrew).
