          I just read, to change the subject, in the Rolling Stone
          Encyclopedia of Rock and Roll, that Richard Farina became
          involved with the IRA in the fifties and was deported by the
          British government.  Seeing as how Pynchon wrote liner notes
          for an edition of Been Down So LOng It Looks Like Up To Me,
          does anyone know of any verification of the Rolling Stone
          statement, and is TRP in any way connected with Northern
          Ireland?  Does TRP refer to the problems in the north at
