>BTW-Has anyone actually heard the Lotion CD?
I have the first Lotion CD (which no doubt turned TP on to them) & the EP
release that coincides with Nobody's Cool, which is titled The Agnew
Funeral E.P. Their first album, Full Isaac, is sort of REM-ish, "jangle
pop" as some call it, with a bit of disharmony & guitar-driven songs, a few
of which have catchy tunes.
The Agnew Funeral is outstanding. The first song, "Marijuana Vietnam," is
very good, perhaps the best song on there. This CD is so good, in fact,
that I have the day off & I'm going to go to the office anyway because I
left my copy there (I must hear it now).
TP's connection to Lotion seems odd, though. Something about the mother of
one band member working at TPs bank. Strange behavior for a recluse. Makes
me wonder if those obnoxious paprazzi's who followed Michael J Fox around
for so long could might possibly get a picture of TP. If this celeb-drivel
society actually gave a damn about someone with talent, that is...
