   Eli Whitney, besides inventing (or perhaps lifting the design of, 
according to some neo-historians) the cotton gin, also developed the
technique of interchangable parts for Army Issue muskets at the arsenal/
armory at Harper's Ferry. VA (now WV).
   Harry Turtledove's GUNS OF THE SOUTH is an interesting twist on
the possible outcome of The War of Northern Aggro.

   But I live in the world's largest Confederate theme park....
