Hi again-
This may seem like a stupid question, or one that has been discussed to
death, but I never took a class (seminar) on GR, and don't know anyone
who's actually read it (besides you foax), so I have not had anyone to
discuss it with.  I have read some literary criticism on it, and glanced at
the GR companion (I found it annoying to use it while actually trying to
read the book.  So, even though I made it a point to understand every part
of the novel the second time I read it, even re-reading some parts several
times, there are still some parts I still do not understand.  S-so here
goes...

There is a section about 2/3rds of the way through the novel where Katje
and Pirate are together, and there is some meeting that I think is supposed
to be Hell, but I never could place this section in the story (I'm sorry
about details, I have not read it in a while).  Does anyone have a take on
these events?
