Just finished watching the news and the FBI is investigating some
right wing subversive
group called the Patriot Companions, or something. Their plan: to
distribute a deadly disease to fight the government, a disease/toxin which
they call
"government flu." (I think they stole the chemical/disease from the
government).
Sound like the Peter Pinguid society? Anarchists organizing for
anarchy? A subversive group dedicated to fighting faceless bureaucracy
whose own acronims are WASTE and DEATH? These are all a bunch of people
upset at how awful the systemized modern world has become, and in their
very act of fighting it, reproduce it.

I know Tristero is usually associated with "the initiation of a fertile
diversity and the ultimate possibility of an anarchic plentitude of
communication" but as far as I can see, it's usually associated with
people who are buying into some sort of system at the expense of their as-
yet-not-quite-as-systematized bodies. Tactically oppositional,
strategically complicit. The Net? Probably the same. (Although I don't
find this list a WASTE at all).

You know, I think I do sound a little paranoid.
