Benny the Remainder

aberrant copy, perhaps, with important info in it which is now

Or, perhaps, there is one old Bantam GR circulating out there through the
used bookstores, the one copy with the spine broken at certain passages,
with thumb marks on the first hundered pages, and the rest of the book
clean, even virginal.  This is the one copy consistantly purchased by a
long string of well intentioned summer readers and victorian novel specialists
who have decided to give TRP one last stab, only to trade it in with a sigh
a few months later, perhaps at a differant location.  A yo-yo which gets
passed from hand to hand, but when it is out and spinning, so that when
it snaps back, surprise, it's returning to a new home....
