the ad is a dead ringer for Rik Mayall. A-and didn't THOSE guys
already do some toilet thing way back in the 80's anyway?

Ahh the Young Ones...Ben Elton where are ya? the burned out long hair
always reminded me of a schlmeil, Rick Mayall is one of the funniest
dudes around (not lately however), and the red haired anarchist (wore a
Rush shirt I always wanted) not to mention some good musical acts (OK,
they did have Dexy's Midnight Runners, I'm thinking the Slits also (for
the good) but I might be wrong on that score)--see The New Statesman and
the Blackadder series...
Anyway, trainspotting-- (a group of Scottish druggies and one brief clip
of the guy going down the toilet...) out in America sometime this
month..we'll have to wait and see though I liked the director's earlier
film Shallow Grave.
BTW, How the hell do you pronounce Vheissu anyway? (Issue?, sneeze?, god
bless you?, Vishnu?)
Chapter X seems to indicate Pynchon read a little Joyce--Wandering Rocks
anyone?
