Comix, Fan Boys & BRAVO

  Yesterday I was able to turn on the Toob and on BRAVO (an amazing
channel) there was a thing on an ASTERIX convention... I was amazed at
all of the Asterix & Obelix paraphernalia available.. (one French
fan boy showed us his Asterix butter..... amongst other things.) It is
reassuring to see that the French are as obsessive as us 'Merkins
and the Japanese.

   Back to BRAVO. Before this, I caught the tailend of something
called THE SOUTH BANK SHOW. Veddy Brit, in a Pink Floydish/macabre
sort of way.... the end had the protagonist praising to to the skies,
the British choco-bar. (Sorry, no Mrs Quoad...).
   Where did this extremely wierd theatrical come from?
