First, thanks to all who responded to my plea for help on that Stoned Empire 
Monkey B thing.  I forwarded all responses to my friend, who was eventually 
successful in disinfecting.  The whole process escapes me, though.  Second, just 
want to second the post re: MULLIGAN STEW.  I think Sorrentino is a great and 
greatly underrated writer.  I agree w/ Mike B. that there doesn't seem to be much 
obvious connection to TRP, but methinks I sense a strangely similar vision of 
Amerika glimpsed through the screen of Antony Lamont's pathetic and 
uproarious slide into paranoia (and They ARE out to get him after all) and despair.  
I also recommend the book that MULLIGAN STEW is dedicated to, Flann 
O'Brian's (Brian O'Nolan?  He had a couple of names) AT-SWIM-TWO-BIRDS, 
one of the strangest books I have ever read (I'll bet Andrew has read it).
