V.S. Naipul'
s A BEND IN THE RIVER, which revisits HEARTO'DARKNESSLand and provides
extremely sardonic commentary on the cult of personality that Sese Seko
was building for himself--this guy rarely gets mentioned in the Longest
Living Dictator series (usually reserved for Castro, now that N. Korea's
Kim Il Sung is dead).  It's amusing to catch the likes of Pat Robertson
sucking up to him on the "Family Channel" from time to time.
