Another relevant SA book?

In addition to Coetzee, let me recommend one of my favorite novels of
the last couple decades, Nadine Gordimer's BURGER'S DAUGHTER. It is a
richly dense and textured story of the daughter of a South African
Marxist leader, who is trying to figure out her own identity and her role
--if any--in South Africa.

It does help to know a bit about apartheid and SA in general, but it is also
full of allusions to '60s radicalism and Soviet Marxism as well.
