Thanks for thinking of Plum, one of the funniest writers of all time
(though I wonder what Pynchon would think of him).  There has been a
great tv version of some of his works, starring Hugh Laurie (lately
seen in SENSE AND SENSIBILITY and on Tracy Ullman's HBO show) and Stephen
Frye.

Here's another recommended summer reading--Fry's THE HIPPOPOTAMUS, which
reads like Wodehouse processed by an Evelyn Waugh who never got religion.
It is perverse and hilarious.
