Me: Brian Boyd's two volume VLADIMIR NABOKOV, Princeton University Press.
V.1 -- the Russian Years (1990), v.2 -- the American Years (1991).

  Actually, re Steely's complaint, Nabokov is easily as "subversive" as
any writer on Steely's list. I mean politically -- it's just that his
frequent target was the Soviet Union.
