Stencil's Mother?

When Stencil replies to the question if he is after all seeking his
mother (ch.2, p.54) as ridiculous, could his comment be read as it's
ridiculous not because it is untrue but that the question itself is, as
if to say well, how can you ask me that, you obviously have known me all
this time?

(Also loved the party scene and Stencil's horror at the sloth of the
Whole Sick Crew; the description of the insignificant hanger-on, Brad,
the frat boy who sits on the edge b/w two worlds ultimately to be ripped
in two at crotch level for his waverings ; Rachel's demonic clock-seeing
the double face-real time and what's behind it (literally))

Hard to beleive the guy was 23 when he wrote this...geez what was I doing
at 23 (another horrid thought)
