Clicks is Army slang for kilometers. I haven't read IJ, but I assume that's
how he's using the term. Does this mean the US has gone metric by the Year
of the Depend Adult Undergarment?
----------
IJ was great book but now need to get back to an earlier America.
Before they started using 24-hour time, subsidized/nonnumbered years,
and metric. By the way, does anyone know if "clicks" (the way IJ measures
distance) are metric? In other words, are there kiloclicks, megaclicks,
and gigaclicks? And what the heck _is_ a click? Was that explained
anywhere? I did read all the footnotes.
