It's called "Morenga" and is really one of the best historical novels 
I've ever come across. Timm knows more about Namibian (S/West) 
history than most Namibians, especially whites. It was made into a 
TV series, which unfortunately is a dud.
And since we are talking about books and authors at the moment, how 
about Alasdair Gray's very good "Lanark"? If there ever was such a 
thing as an 'entropic novel', this must be it. (Unlike GR, of course....:)
