Don't remember the homophobic so much, but then a lot of people kept
pretty much to the closet in the sixties. Things were more invisible.

The Sexism couldn't have been more so, I would concur. The guys would sit
around in their beards like the four wisemen hatching weighty plans to bring
down the system, while the gals were fixing something to eat. And nobody
seemed to notice a thing.

Later on in the seventies, stories of life in the commune (or
wherever) began to appear. I heard one. She wasn't a radical feminist,
or even bitter about her experiences. She just described what she
remembered.

It's hard to watch _Easy Rider_ today with a straight face.
