Paranoia -- as I think TRP keeps stating -- is a really popular mode for 
living. It absolves the person from actually having to think while 
allowing  what-passes -for-thinking-but-is-actually-fantasy free rein.

Gee... do you suppose _some_body's been putting a virus or something into 
our DNA to substitute pseudo-thinking genes for the real thinking genes?  
Some sort of alien brain hackers or something?
