The privacy-invading "people finder" in Yahoo turned up two Thomas R. 
Pynchons last week.  One of them was pretty clearly the novelist's father 
on Long Island, N.Y. (who passed away last year and for whom an obituary 
is available through the electronic library).   But who's that other one up in 
Canton, N.Y.?   (Wouldn't that area be inside the great concavity?  (Sorry, I 
couldn't resist. ;-) ))     The people finder in Yahoo seems to be a database 
made up of phone book listings, or at least this is what I infer from making 
some comparisons. BTW, if you don't want your own info displayed in 
Yahoo for just anyone to find you can ask Yahoo to have it suppressed.
