reading _GR_; hurdles; meanings

I've always thought that the first part was only difficult the first time
through. The way I got through it was just by reading straight through,
and not really trying to comprehend, only to "osmose" the information. The
problem lies in that GR has so much in the first 200 or so pages that
doesn't come together until the last 100 or so. After one completion tho,
everything starts to make more sense, because you can fit the information
together in a coherent way.
