reading _GR_; hurdles; meanings

  As to the meaning of the name,  books and books can be written.

I now think the best summation is noting that it is a take-off on

the rainbow yawn.

I always thought of the title as you will be scared and appalled by what 
you read and just like someone who has just had some sort of religious 
vision, you will amidst that horror, find yourself catching remnants or 
bits of beauty that you wouldn't have noticed without such a state as GR 
enjoins.  And also, you'll have a fun time with it also;  God ain't all 
gloom and doom some of the time.



Oh by the way, this from the back of the currently free NY Press:  "Have 
You met the Vanishing Man?  International reported phenomona.  He appears 
as an ordinary man/beggar/hitchhiker/student, etc with luminous eyes & 
loving countenance.  He delivers a (revolutionary-my words again 
according to voice message-yes I called) message then van-ishes (v an I
