Vineland Release

[RICHARD ROMEO]

For those of you who remember--did Vineland just appear on the shelves 
one day without too much pre-pub excitement or marketing or like was it  
announced way before it came out, title and all, story-line , etc.?  Just 
wondering whether Pynchon will try to keep eveything mum before he 
releases the next   I also wonder with communications the way they are 
now, couldn't one say we'll get news much earlier than say GR or even 
Vineland.
