If we take a look at the map, Kenosha is situated right beneath another
small town called Racine. As we know, Racine and Corneille were the two
big names of the French Neoclassical drama. The latter's masterpiece is
called _Le Cid_. Canonical Stuff, indeed. With all those tight classical
unities. _GR_ is really not about "Le Racine Cid", but about "The Kenosha
Kid", its reckless preterite double. Just one possible connection. Not a
totalizing interpretation. Still, I think I just have to pay a visit to
Kenosha before my return to Europe next summer.
