Well said, though I might argue TRP's fascination with perversion
(like Gottfried & Katje in the next section) suggests he might have
questioned how these roles and stereotypes are really played out.
"They" want everyone in their place, in their correct roles, while TRP
& his characters resist this, albeit in very strange ways at times.

Agreed, but in a culture racked by PC on the left & the Fundamentalists
on the right it's tough for a beer-drinking, football-loving Michigan
man to stand tall on any issues. The standing joke I have is that if
my neighbors knew my beliefs they'd burn a cross on my lawn, but if I
was a professor at Michigan I'd be crucified. Ya know it don't come
easy....
