Motto: "Would Gottfried live today, he would not have to feel lonely."

(Have mercy. Today's results: two questionable forwardings and one awful
reply. But you may foretasted what the newsgroup will be. I'll try to
return to Andrew's questions as soon as possible. Hereby I also thank
him for his not-so-little feat. Which leads me to ask, Andrew: has the
Counterforce Financial Manager taken care of your holiday bonus in good
time, as we strictly obliged him to do in the last board meeting? Heikki)

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's language institute and the
Humanities and Social Science department, with the Center for
Aerospace Safety Education invites all interested parties to
participate in an aviation communications conference:

                 "Aviation Communications: a Multi-Cultural Forum."

This conference is intended to be a vehicle for ideas and information
to be exchanged concerning all aspects of communications including
linguistics, culture, gender, race, class, and globalization.

It is not required that your research be in aviation. It is only
necessary that your work is transferable to aviation situations in
cockpits, between cockpit and tower, maintenance operations,
human-machine interface, etc. Optimal communication is often
problematic because of gender, racial, cultural, linguistic,
economic, political, etc. assumptions hidden behind standard
     procedures.

Please note that this conference will be an outstanding opportunity
for industry, government, and other funding sources to make direct
     contact with researchers.
