I want to interupt conversation about _GR_ and through out a
question about Crying. My question relates to the influence of Dennis de
Rougemont "Love In the Western World". It may be a boring question for
most but I am a new reader; a pynchon virgin of sorts.

What I'm curious/need reasurrance about is: The Tristero
is obviously a myth by Tristan (the first book in Love in the Western World)
standards?

Question dos-

The misfortunes of passion in LITWW lead me to believe that
Pynchon and William Shakes write/wrote with the same idea of passion.
Q-2 is do Oedipa and Hamlet share the same passion which drives them
deeper into the plot

Yet another student,

Benji
