You may be on to something here;  although I found that all of the 
male/female relationships (not just Almassy and Katharine's) reminded me 
a bit of R + J's--especially the one between Juliet B.'s nurse and the 
soldier in charge of defusing bombs (this pair also remind me of Rick and 
Ilsa--they'll always have those moments together in the church).
