Yeah, I just saw _Network_ for the first time a few weeks ago.  Brilliant 
movie, with the marks of Pynchon and DeLillo all over it.  Apart from the 
scene where the newscaster lists (on-air) how nations don't matter 
anymore, we are run by corporations (contrast to Pynchon's attitudes re: 
"The Real War is all around us" and attitudes towards multinational 
capitalism), there's definitely threads of Pynchon in the television show 
about the terrorist organization (featuring a real terrorist act every 
week).  Amazing film - I recommend it to anyone who hasn't already seen it.
