George Formby (English; born William Booth, 5/24/04; d. 3/6/61)
Highest paid Brit entertainer during WWII. One of his stock phrases (and
the name of one of his films) was "It's Turned Out Nice Again." His naughty
number "When I'm Cleaning Windows" was banned by the BBC. His WWII
troop-entertaining won him the OBE. Besides being a screen actor, saucy
singer, and comedian, he was also a ukelele player, and therefore of obvious
interest to TRP.
