Nice response all round but this line particularly struck me, summing
up one of the most important aspects of GR - it's a (the?) book of
revelation, except that which it reveals is all on the surface, plain
for all to see. And it is only the pernicious and pervasive myth that
there are depths below that surface (thank you Mr Plato) which
confuses people - like someone trying to stick his hand through the
mirror or walking round behind it and being astonished when Mirrorland
disappears.
