All this talk of Buckaroo Banzai inspired me to go rent it tonight. I
shouldn't have bothered. I just watched most of it before turning it off,
feeling I'd wasted my time. I kept telling myself, "it's PARODY--it's
SUPPOSED to be awful." I was intrigued by the multi-position rotary
switches that were shown being turned during the opening blast-off sequence,
but frankly I can't see how anyone could attribute such video drivel to TRP.
(Just my opinion.) I can imagine how some hack writer, wishing to cash in
on TRP's mystique and following, could have worked in just enough allusions
to GR and COL49 to pique some viewers' interest though. -jm
