Having read the novel in question, I'd have to agree with Ms Kael. Fun (and
certainly clearer than the film) but definitely "sub-Pynchonian".
Re the movie, I remember assuming at the time that I must be stoned and it
would make a lot more sense in the morning. I wasn't and it didn't, although
the novel helped.
