GR and Pig

So were Kurt Mondaugen and Bloody Chiklitz (Bloody is the only character who 
appears in _V_, _Lot 49_, and _GR_.  I was disappointed when he didn't turn 
up in _Vineland_).   Also Blicero (Weissmann in _V_).

Pig made what I still regard as one of the most auspicious debuts in 
literature in "Low-Lands."  I wish I had it here to quote directly, but when 
he appears at Dennis Flange's door several years after trashing his 
(Dennis's) wedding, Flange's wife greets him with something like, "Oh you 
fat, ugly sonofabitch!"  and Pig says, "Hi, babe."
