For what it's worth, Josh is an Executive Producer of the Simpsons rather
than a writer.
Josh is the older brother of Jacob Weinstein, who is a frequent poster to
rec.arts.int-fiction (a newsgroup devoted to the theory and practice of
text adventures). Jacob is, in turn, the high school buddy of my current
roommate and closest friend at Princeton, Eric Ash. Jacob was, while at
Princeton in his undergraduate days, a good friend of Rob Kutner, who has
been one of my best friends since we were five years old.
It was rather a shock to find out we all knew each other previously, sorta,
at one remove. I think there are really only about 500 people in the
world, who keep getting shuffled around in various permutations, and a
whole bunch of extras.
