     Thanks for your post, Joe, but you're not to blame, so please don't be 
     too hard on yourself.  Some of the ad hominem attacks that we've been 
     witnessing apparently have a history that predates their current 
     manifestations on this list.  I think this nasty beast is bigger than 
     most of us, Joe, and I agree with Jean that it should stop.  It's 
     really bumming me out.
