von Braun Quotes

All this talk about von Braun reminds me of an anecdote told by the 
father of a friend of mine.  This man was a German Jew who was a 
professor of mathematics in Germany until he came to the U.S. in the 
mid-30's.  He was acquainted with many of the great figures in science 
and technology, including von Braun, who once invited him to go sailing 
on a lake.  While they were alone in the boat von Braun confided that he 
had never before in his life had a conversation with a Jew.  It doesn't 
tell us much about von Braun himself, but I think it says a lot about 
pre-Nazi German society.
