I figured this would be quickly cleared up (who's napping?!), but I 
guess I'll be the one to say that it was only in thick ironic tones 
that the overabundance of "continental philosophy" on the Pynchon
List could be bemoaned.

Sarcasm, m'dear.  Sometimes it seems that the metaphors of
science & technology are so deliciously obvious that we end up
never escaping their orbit.  

Heideggerian blather may be just what we need!  Resume blather!
