I also forgot to mention my age. I'm 34 - my Matt Mason phase was 
when I was six years old.

Never tried rocketry, but I did once try to build a bomb (I was going 
to sell the design to the Welsh - why the Welsh exactly, I can't 
remember now). Anyway, it burned with a thick black oily smoke for 
about 20 minutes, but didn't explode. Ah well, back to the drawing 
board...
