Reading GRAVITY'S RAINBOW aloud

The bookstore here in my town held a marathon reading recently of GR - It
went from 6PM on Thursday to 8AM on Saturday I read from Midnight to
2AM twice - That put me into the Advent scene one night and the castration
scene the next - It was great fun and the prose stands up quite nicely aloud -
Alas, we did not have musical instruments for the songs

Does anybody know of other such events - Is there a place where this
is a tradition?
