     West Coasters--

I interrupt the Castro debate to get on the soapbox: Walk, ride,
drive, whatever, I don't care, but get your political butts to
Watsonville this Sunday, April 13th. I can't be there, so you must
(really!) march in my place in support of Caesar Chavez' army of
righteous revolutionaries, the United Farm Workers. The UFW, along
with the AFL-CIO, are making huge, national efforts to gain union
recognition for California strawberry workers, who are likely the most
abused, underpaid and hidden labor force in this country.

Supporters will begin to gather at 9am, the march begins at 11, a
rally follows at 1. For more information call the UFW at 408-761-9977
     or the AFL-CIO at 888-AFL-CIO.

Chris (who will be at the Labor Notes conference in Detroit next
weekend. Anybody out there wanna buy me a drink?)

P.S. Info about the New York P-List meet to be posted tomorrow. Stay
     tuned, amigos.
