Free 'n' easy is one interpretation. I'm in the other camp, which
holds that the name is derived exclusively from Artie Shaw's tune,
pronounced FRENN ess see. <Shrug>...you pays your money and you
takes your choice, si?
I will refrain from venturing into the Cuban minefield, though I'm
an admirer of Beethoven's opera _Fidelio_.
