hey, 

sorry i missed the shinding.  I was in southern Cal on important business . .
. and next thing i knew, i was transported through time-space to a
Levittown-type colony on the eighth moon of Jupiter . . . then suddenly, i
was in Asheville, N.C., at a "Your Wok and Pork" seminar . . . then i was
back here, checking my-email, and noticing i had missed the shinding.

i'll try to make to the KGB thing, if i can squeeze out of this private
tutorial i have with Chomsky, on that date.
