Henry, I respectfully disagree w/ your reasoning. It's as though you'd argued that it's ok
for the cops to bust into your house as long as you aren't hiding any contraband or
fugitives. The whole issue IMO is precisely those *mixed* feelings you seem not too
perplexed about.
Beyond that--oh my fellow listers, I have been the mutest of all on this because anything I
say gets me in more trouble. I am curious to see Dale, following Jules, argue that on the
one hand our posts aren't very important to the book's artistic accomplishment, but on
the other hand, they're important enough not to even consider the requests of those who
ask not to be included in the enterprise.
