Hey, you were there too?  It figures that in a crowd of Pynchonites 
half of us would end up effectively invisible to each other....

I was standing behind, then sitting at, the table with Chris K, 
Lineland Dale's party, poetic Catherine, & assorted other folks; I 
eventually also met up w/ various others like Monte & Dave & Ruth & 
Henry & Mel & Eric, but it looks like plenty of others were flying 
beneath the radar.  

Next time we all hook up somewhere, should we, uh, develop a secret
jesuitical hand signal, or wear little post-horn badges, or make
recognizable mechanical-duck humming noises [oops, sorry, minor M&D
spoiler], or something?  People never seem to bear a visible 
resemblance to their prose style.
